There was a time when Microsoft Windows gave you great power management options, which is quite helpful when working on a device that often works on battery. So why is it that in Windows 11 your options are so limited?
Don’t get me wrong… when I am not plugged in I do like the power saving options. When I am plugged in it is a different story. I am a power user, and I want to be able to take advantage of the power. So when my buddy told me about a command that would bypass the regular restrictions I jumped at it.
- Open a Command Prompt as Administrator.
- Type: powercfg -SETACTIVE 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c
That’s it… Your power is set to full throttle. Have fun!
